Thanks to the generous support of community members like you, we have broken ground on our new Early Learning Center on Monday, October 13. In case you missed the event, we've included some photo highlights. Elders and children alike were on hand to hail the construction of a special facility to welcome 60 more children to this Keystone STARS and NAEYC-accredited program.
Children played an active role in the ground breaking in addition to State Representative Eugene DePasquale and Vice President of the Crispus Attucks Board Ray Crenshaw (top left), center director Ms. Carol Heagy, Ms. Alice Bowers and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas (middle right). Numerous Crispus Attucks board members and other supporters were also on hand, including representatives from the York City Mayor's office, the United Way, the York Chamber of Commerce, Kinsley Construction and others.
Crispus Attucks has been providing child care services for over 75 years to the York community. This big step allow us to expand those services to even more children every year in a time when the need is greater than ever. Thank you York!
